Structural Overview
Load-bearing exterior and interior timber-frame walls
Roof structure: gang-nailed plate rafters
The building's stiffness was ensured by transferring roof and ceiling diaphragms loads to the walls, which acted as shear walls through the action of the structural sheathing.
Glulam stiffening frames with concealed steel plates, joined with dowels and bolts, were installed in the panoramic window area.
